Date Plan: Tour - 4
Aug. 7th, 2020 04:05 pmLocation: Time Street (Night)
Chiaki: Wow, this place is always full of life no matter when you come.
Just as you’d expect for Time Street, huh? It’s a shopping district that represents the whole area, so there's karaoke, bowling, an arcade…
It really feels like it’s got anything you could ever think of!
Kaoru: Thanks to that, there’s way too many tempting things to decide on just one. Well, at least we can rule out all those places that serve alcohol, based on our age.
Well, should we do a stroll through the area first? There’s a lot of places I want to go, so I want to do a quick look-around in advance.
Chiaki: Good idea. There’s a lot of shops even just down this way alone, so I think it’ll be a good reference for when we’re brainstorming our date plan!
Hakaze, check it out! Looks like that arcade’s got a storefront display! What’s more, it’s a fighting game where you play with American heroes!
Haha, I didn't even know that there were games like that!
It looks like this store’s got retro games that came out before we were born!
Kaoru: A fighting game with American heroes, huh… Do you like those kinds of things, Moricchi?
Chiaki: Yeah. I like American heroes too. My absolute favorites are Japanese sentai heroes, though!
Kaoru: Hmm… So heroes are different in America and Japan?
Chiaki: Totally different. American heroes are a whole other thing!
Though, there are actually American heroes influenced by Japanese sentai heroes, so, more strictly speaking, it’s not the country that’s different, but the style.
Like Power Rangers, and such.
However, when it comes to competitive fighting games, Japanese heroes aren’t really taken into consideration. There are a lot of different kinds of console games with them, though.
Kaoru: I’m clueless when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I can see just how much you know it like the back of your hand, Moricchi.
If your partner was someone who had the same hobby as you, you could get pretty hyped up, huh~?
In that sense, it’s a pretty good hobby to have, since it also seems like there are more and more sentai hero fangirls these days, yeah?
In my case, it’s probably surfing. I could have a lot of fun with people who like the beach, but this is a plan for a fashion magazine, so it’d be hard to fit that in~
Chiaki: I don’t think you need to worry so much about that. We don’t have hobbies for the sake of being popular, you know?
More importantly, we’re probably clogging traffic with how much we’ve been standing here and talking. How about we give that 1v1 fighting game a try while we’re here, Hakaze?
Kaoru: A 1v1 fighting game, huh… I usually go for the cooperative type of games, but this’ll be a good experience too. Alright, let’s give it a shot.
Hmm. Alright, I think I’ll choose this guy. He’s got claws that look pretty strong.
Chiaki: Wolverine is a good choice. Well, then I’ll choose Captain America!
Kaoru: This looks fun, even though I don’t really get it. Moricchi, do you know a lot about these kinds of games?
Chiaki: Nope. I don’t really know much about fighting games either.
But, when you know about all of the heroes and their relationships as comrades, just seeing them moving around on the screen makes you happy.
Kaoru: I see… But it seems like you know more than I do, so go easy on me, alright?
Chiaki: Fufu. Will do. After all, it’s not the outcome that’s important, but the experience!
Well then, let’s have a fair fight…!
Guhh… I lost… I’ve been completely and utterly defeated!
Kaoru: You were too weak, huh~ No, maybe it’s that I was too strong...☆
Kaoru: I haven’t really played competitive fighting games much, but I feel like my skills are all thanks to playing games in general.
Chiaki: Ggh. It sounds silly of me to say it myself, but I’m the hardworking type, so… Next time we fight, I won’t lose! I’ll learn how to do a fatal combo; I’ll show you then!
Kaoru: Fufu, alright, I’ll be waiting for that~♪
Ah. You wanna try, like, karaoke next?
I think it’d be fun if we switched, like if I tried singing Ryuseitai songs and you tried singing UNDEAD songs ♪
Ooh, if you look at that storefront over there, it looks like there’s a glass karaoke room, you see it~? Was that put in recently?
We can’t sing somewhere where we’ll stand out too much, since it’d cause problems for our agencies, but... If we disguise ourselves, we might be able to sing ♪
Chiaki: Hahaha. A special chance for us to be co-stars wouldn’t be bad at all! DreamFes was less like co-starring and more like confronting each other, so there weren't actually many chances to co-star.
For Ryuseitai and UNDEAD to co-star—for heroes and antiheroes to unite in a common struggle—it’s just like what you see in American comics ♪
Kaoru: Ahaha. What are you talking about? You don’t have to force some strange meaning onto it, you know?
Chiaki: At any rate, you’re doing a lot better now, huh? It’s like you weren’t even worried just a moment ago.
Kaoru: Oh yeah, I just noticed… I feel so relaxed now.
Chiaki: Yup yup, that’s good, wonderful! Forcefully dragging you out here was worth it~♪
My Ryuseitai companions have always drilled it into my mind to rely on my comrades more often. That’s why when I saw the state you were in, I felt like I couldn’t just leave it as someone else’s problem.
Kaoru: Thanks, Moricchi. I feel a little better thanks to you ♪
Going off of that, Moricchi, I have one favor to ask, but—
Natsume: ...Looks like you’ve finally calmed doWN, Hakaze-senPAI.
Chiaki: Ooh, if it isn’t Sakasaki!
Mitsuru: It’s not just Nacchan-senpai, I’m here too~!
Niki: Nahaha. Please excuse us~♪
Chiaki: Tenma-kun and Shiina, too…? What are you doing here?
Natsume: You can ask that all you please, but if you’re thAT noisy when you’re leaving Starmony DoRM, anyone can catch oN.
We were interested, and so we started trying to follow yOU. Or, we tailed you, so to spEAK ♪
Kaoru: I see. Pretty typical of you to notice, huh Sakasaki-kun? ...Well, I had a lot on my mind. That’s the reason I was worried.
Natsume: ...I seE.
Mitsuru: Nacchan-senpai~ I wanna play games and do karaoke and stuff, like they did!
When you come to such a lively place, it’s more fun to play games and stuff than it is to try and avoid getting caught tailing someone, yanno~?
Natsume: QuiTE. We’ve come all the way to Time StrEET; we might as well enjoy ourselves toO.
Niki: Alright, then I know a great restaurant! How do you guys feel about starting the night with a meal~?
Kaoru: Ooh. A rec from a pro… I’m interested ♪
It’s the perfect time for dinner, so, Shiina-kun, if you know a restaurant that makes even your mouth water, could you tell us?
Niki: Roger! I’ll introduce you to my all-time favorite~♪
C’mon, follow me!
Mitsuru: Ooh~!
Chiaki: Hey, Hakaze, let’s go! We can’t lose to our juniors!
Kaoru: Uwah! Why are you dragging me against my will again?!
You really are the reckless type, aren’t you?! Can’t you at least think about my pace a little bit too…?!
Kaoru: (But really, Moricchi’s leadership is incredible as always. Just as you’d expect from the guy who managed to pull all of Ryuseitai together.)
(Not to mention that Moricchi’s radiance draws in all of our juniors, too.)
(As you’d expect, people like that are a lot easier to rely on, so if I was a junior, I’d do just that.)
(I was thinking about this while we were having fun, but I really—…)
(I think I should just leave all this leader stuff to Moricchi this time around. Everything would go a lot better, for sure.)
(So I should tell that to Anzu-chan.)
(That’s my own way to show her that I’m sincere, so...)
